Elements Conveyor
The conveyor is a continuous movement system that transports one or more components from one point to another. Conveyors are especially useful in applications that involve the transport of heavy or bulky materials. The conveyors allow fast and efficient transport for a wide variety of materials, which makes them very popular in the material handling and packaging industries. In this project the conveyor was designed to move a component called 'Element'.
Element
The element is a long rod consisting of 4 different models. During the process of transporting the elements, you have to perform two types of tests on each of the pieces, 'continuity test' and 'Hi-pot test', in this way we analyze if the piece has any defect, If the part in any of the 2 tests does not meet the specifications by means of a Pick & Place, the rejected part will be taken and deposited in a scrap bin.
The conveyor was designed with 3 strips of chain so that they could place 4 different models, the chain has attachments to place the component without manufacturing fixtures, in this way we extend the life of the engine to avoid efforts.
Pick & Place
This arrangement of pneumatic cylinders helps us to remove the rejected elements, it has 5 pneumatic cylinders, the first one is a Slide, the second one is a cylinder with bearings and the 3 resnates are cylinders called grippers that have the functionality of taking the pieces
